Imagine, you're playing catch, and have the ball coming straight to you, an easy toss, when, for no reason, your fingers get butter on them, the ball seems to hop around in mid-air, then slip through your hands, bounce off of you, and, in tantalizing slow motion, hit the ground. Probably all of us, athletic or not, have experienced that (and Tim is still trying to repress memories of that happening in a Jr. High football game!). Well, that's an apt metaphor for the month of June. No matter what we did, we couldn't seem to slow it down, it slipped through our calendars, and has disappeared! Now July is upon us.

We're coming to you from Tim's parents' house after a HUGE moving sale and a fairly easy move. Most of our books are en route to Mexico, with eight more boxes still to go. The basement here is full of things to sort and decide whether to take or store here. On top of that, we've managed to be in churches every Sunday in June and take advantage of Strawberry Season here in Western Washington! So, you may be asking, what does this mean? Well, after consulation with our pastor and EBM, we've been released to go to Mexico! Our church will commission us on July 25th, then that week Tim & his Dad will drive down to Puebla, and Barbara-Lee, Drew, and Tim's Mom will all fly down August 5th. The Lord has provided 99% of our support; we need $70 more to be at 100%. We are so thankful to Him for His provision and to His people for their prayers and financial support.

(4?) Drew really hasn't been much help during the moving process. We hope that he'll shape up and carry his share of the boxes.

Someone said in the last week or so, that the long road (of pre-field ministry) is over. That's true, however, our perspective is that we've just taken the first steps on a journey of a lifetime of full-time ministry. It's an exciting stage, but we're in this for the long haul. Please pray toward that end. (1 Cor. 9:24-27)
