Two weeks ago Puebla's soccer team won their league championship, which allows them to move up to Mexico's Premier Soccer League (think 4A baseball up to the Major Leagues). The streets were full of celebrations. We think that heaven has been full of celebrations lately. Off the top of our head we can count no less than 10 people who have professed faith in Christ in the last month. It's exciting right now to see God working in people's hearts, through Bible studies and the witness of friends and family. Mothers, children, youth and adults Join us in thanking God! We need to plan a baptism class, a membership class, and hold a baptism in the near future.

This coming week our home church from Tacoma, WA, will be with us. They'll be helping us do an English conversation club, put a roof on a house, and do a kids' Bible club in our house. We are excited to see friends whom we haven't seen in three years and all the new contacts we hope to make. We are also hosting a young lady, Hannah, as part of a short-term missionary trip. She has been a big help teaching ESL classes to several friends. Ideally, short-term trips benefit everyone involved, and that is the case with Hannah.

We are going back to Tacoma for a month in August, in part to be with family and in part to connect with supporters and churches. We are looking forward to the trip, but it will also be hard to step away from the work.

1. For those who have accepted Christ in the last several weeks.
2. For the group coming down and the opportunities ahead.
3. For Hannah and her help here.

PRAYER
1. For the growth and discipleship of new believers. We want to make disciples--not just converts.
2. For the group and our work with them. Please pray for safety, unity, grace, and energy.
3. For continued strength and energy in the work.
